In this Advanced training, we take a deeper dive into the goal areas of a healthy intentional transition.

This training is designed for anyone  working with churches in transition, even if you are not currently active as a transitional pastor or taken our Basic training. The exercises and homework we give to the participants is designed to further your learning and prepare you for effective implementation of your learning.  

We'd like to have a minimum of nine people signed up for this training to go ahead.

Coming Alongside You in the Work of Transition

This training equips you with just in time learning for the work of coming alongside churches in transition.

 

Who is this training for?

This training is for anyone who is active as a transitional leader or looking to be. It's also designed for denominational leaders who supervise churches in transition. Basic training is not required to attend Advanced but recommended.

In module 1 we help you set the stage for a successful transition by increasing your ability to accurately assess a congregation in advance of your commitment to work with them.  We will equip you to prepare a work plan and build that plan based on the different kinds of transitions you face.

Module 1 - November 12

Module 2: Moving on from Relational Breakdown

Congregational disagreement and offenses are unavoidable. The challenge is to shepherd people to resolve their differences and recover the unity that's been lost. By the power of God's Spirit, breakdowns can be transformed into strong kingdom focused communities.

Module 2 - November 19

Module 3: Learning to Discover a New Future

In module 3, leaders will be equipped to shepherd congregations toward a new future. Stuck churches are liberated when they gain awareness of their current reality and find consensus to seek the future awaiting them. Learn the skill set to do that work.

Co-facilitators Cam Taylor and Hugh Fraser


Cam gives overall leadership to the TLN and is an active coach, facilitator, and local church leader. He passes on experience and learning gained from his work with congregations, leaders and non-profits.       

Hugh is an active transitional pastor who practices what he teaches. He shares the tools and approaches he is currently using with congregations in transition. He is a trained coach, facilitator and ordained pastor with the CBWC.
